Polished Metal and Antique Mercury Glass Bar Cabinet with Copper Pipe Handles
Beautiful, Vintage Industrial storage solution with multiple uses. We design and build these wonderful cabinets using Antique glass, reclaimed materials and glorious metal. We source the glass from across Europe and build to order, these truly are special and unique pieces.
This piece combines great storage with wonderful display shelving. The framework is polished stainless steel whilst all the other raw metal has been aged and lacquered to compliment the other vintage materials.
The back splash is made from antique mercury glass dating back to 1890. The mirror holds some beautiful patina adding wonderful character to the piece (a further example of the glass is shown in the fourth image of a mirror we created for a client).
Each shelf is made from toughened glass that has a glint or turquoise/green when light bounces off it. One of the glass shelves floats whilst the other is framed with a supporting bar. The side panels are made using a reeded/ ribbed glass which helps bounce more light off the wonderful mirrors beside them.
Moving on to the storage below, each drawer is deep and chunky and set on gliding runners. The shutter cupboards are made from vintage shutters which we have stripped and polished just enough to keep the wonderful patina present.
The drawer pulls and cupboard handles are made using reclaimed copper piping and brass which contrasts wonderfully with the silver pallet. The piece sits on chunky, angled solid steel feet.
A versatile and unique piece!
